A stylist looks to bold female icons of the past and present for a red-hot collection.
Created in celebration of powerful women like Joan of Arc and Hollywood’s bold redheads who are pushing boundaries in today’s culture, such as Julianne Moore and Christina Hendricks, is the Rebel Red collection from Vanessa Whitmarsh. “This shoot took shape from a culmination of influences, centering on Joan of Arc and her coming of age intertwined with pop culture elements,” says Whitmarsh, a graduate of The Aveda Institute in Houston and a stylist at Jackson Ruiz Salon in Austin, Texas. “It’s a tribute to Joan’s journey and evolution from naïve farm girl to androgynous soldier.” —Kristen Heinzinger >
