Mercedes-Benz Fall ‘11 Fashion Week NYC: Reed Krakoff

The finished look

At the Reed Krakoff show, Guido for Redken gave the models a "simple, modern look" to go with the designer's minimal take on beauty. He began the process by prepping wet hair with Spray Starch 15 Versatile Ironing Spray for texture and created a severe side part before allowing the hair to dry naturally. Then, he took small sections of hair at the back and used a curling iron to lightly bend the strands for movement. Guido finished off with Shine Flash 02 Glistening Mist for a slick, glossy touch.

Makeup by M.A.C's Diane Kendal was also minimal with Match Master Foundation for light coverage and a muted lip. Eyes used Teddy Eye Kohl removed once with a Q-tip to achieve a softer finish. On the cheeks, she used Brit Wit and Lady Blush Cream Colour Bases. "The look is just about making the girls look gorgeous," Kendal said. —Clarissa Nebuya
