Mercedes-Benz Spring ‘11 Fashion Week NYC: Juan Carlos Obando

At the Juan Carlos Obando show, lead stylist Didier Malige for Number 4 High Performance Hair Care created a messy knot that looked effortless but chic. "It's a style that's attainable for every woman," Malige said. To create the look, Malige and the Number 4 Pro Team applied Styling Foam at the roots for texture and Super Comb Prep & Protect on the ends for a more natural finish, then dried the hair using only their hands to mimic a beachy feel. The hair was then loosely pulled back into a ponytail with the ends sticking out and pinned into place. "We created an organic structure on each model, so every girl was a little different," Malige said. He finished the look by applying new Mighty Hair Spray to his fingertips and gently pulling at strands to create intentional frizz for a "halo of softness."

The makeup from Fulvia Faroffi for M.A.C featured lots of beige hues with rosy cheeks. The monochromatic look represented contemporary beauty and would be appropriate for women of all ages.
