For Christian Siriano’s spring/summer 2015 show—a collection of textured whites, seafoam greens and blues inspired by glass sculptures—Anthony Cole for Sebastian Professional created an elegant, yet lived-in hair look. He told us backstage that he wanted the style to look like a “glamour girl who got her hair done, woke up the next morning and brushed it out really well." Cole started with Sebastian Professional Shaper Zero Gravity and a brush, and then created continuous pin curls with a flat-iron. “It gives it just a dent of a wave,” he said. He then brushed the hair out to leave hair looking natural with just a slight texture.
Lead makeup artist Polly Osmond created a holographic look on the eyes with iridescent sparkles. “The makeup is based around light-reflective qualities and how light reflects through glass, crystal and ice,” she told us backstage. The result was glamorous hair and makeup that complemented the crystal embroidery and sharp cuts of the fabric in Siriano’s collection.
