Step 1: Divide the head into standard quadrants (ear to ear and front to nape). Step

2: Through the back, take a semicircular section from a point 3" above the ear around to a level point on other side. This creates panel 1.

Step 3: Take a semicircular section through the front top of the head. This creates panel 4.

Step 4: The 2 sections on either side create panels 2 and 3.

Step 5: On panel 1, work on a diagonal and apply fine-weave highlights using formula 1. The highlights should incorporate 60% of the hair. Isolate each section with foil.

Step 6: On panels 2 and 3, work vertically up to the center top part and apply fine-weave highlights using formula 1. These highlights should be placed 1/4" back from the front hairline.

Step 7: On panel 4, work on a diagonal and apply fine-weave highlights using formula 1. These highlights should be placed 1/4" back from the front hairline. Isolate each section with foil.

Step 8: Process the hair to the desired level of lift (e.g., yellow); shampoo and blow-dry.

Step 9: Apply formula 2 throughout the head, new growth to ends.

Step 10: Process the hair according to directions. Rinse the hair thoroughly with comfortably hot water to remove the color. Shampoo with color conserveTM shampoo. Apply color conserveTM pHinishTM and rinse again with cool water. Towel-dry the hair well to prepare it for the botanical therapy hair treatment.

Step 11: Apply a botanical therapy hair treatment based on the condition of the hair. For dry hair, perform the moisture treatment using dry remedyTM penetrating moisture. For damaged hair, perform the repair treatment using damage remedyTM penetrating protein. Once the hair treatment has been applied, process at room temperature for 5 minutes and rinse. You do not need to shampoo or condition the hair.
