Niche Knack

Specialized salons with a single focus show no signs of abating. Proof? Hairstylist Josh Wood recently opened a Bang Bar in his Atelier Liberty in London, where a swift style update will set you back approximately $15. Given the renewed interest in fringes—spotted on First Lady Michelle Obama, A-lister Jessica Biel and the Duchess of Cambridge—it’s safe to say the Wella Professionals global creative director for color is on to something. —K.D.

Earth Angels

In James Houston: Natural Beauty (Grafiche Damiani, 2013), renowned photographer James Houston blends elements of nature with the iconic faces and heavenly bodies of eco-conscious celebrities like Brooke Shields and Christy Turlington. The resulting images are flights of fancy that are sure to inspire. Better still: A portion of proceeds goes to Global Green USA to support their protection of Mother Nature and the creation of a more sustainable future. —K.F.

Match Game

The sheer beauty of Nest Fragrance’s White Narcisse Classic Candle—housed in a vessel that features a sculpted interpretation of Russian artist Alexander Solodukho’s floral artwork—is matched only by the fragrance. The aroma of the white narcissus flower mingles with hints of French mimosa, dewy muguet and creamy sandalwood for a scent that’s truly intoxicating. nestfragrances.com —K.D.

Dancing Shoes

Beyoncé has taken Europe by storm with The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour and brings her dazzling performance and wardrobe back to the States this summer. Ty Hunter and Raquel Smith, stylists to the pop diva, collaborated once again with shoe designer Stuart Weitzman to create her functional yet eye-popping footwear. “He understands not only our needs artistically, but Beyoncé’s needs to perform comfortably on stage with each step she takes,” says Hunter. The singer didn’t miss a beat in Swarovski-encrusted pumps, lace-up, metal-trimmed booties (seen here) and thigh-high military-inspired boots. —J.B.

STARR TURN

He wasn’t the cute one, the smart one or the quiet one, but now former Beatle Ringo Starr can rightfully claim the title of the cultured one. Ringo: Peace & Love, a new exhibit at The Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, offers an inside look into the life and career of the man who laid down the beat for arguably the biggest rock ’n’ roll band of all time. In addition to drum sets, memorabilia and correspondence, elements of Starr’s performance wardrobe will be on display, including the cape he wore in Help!, the red jacket from the Beatles rooftop concert and the glitzy, epauletted suit from the album cover of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. —K.F.
