Sola Sessions to Host Leading Ladies in Chicago

The Sola Salon Studios community is marking their calendars for Monday, September 24, when Leading Ladies comes to the Sola Sessions in Chicago. The brainchild of Tracey Hughes, the hairdresser and educator known for her energy, talent and charismatic personality, Leading Ladies will feature five of the industry’s most influential and interesting women. Be there when they share stories from their personal and professional lives and offer hard-won business advice.

Don’t miss this inspiring lineup of strong women, who bring passion and a sense of purpose to everything they do:

  • Eden Sassoon: As the daughter of the legendary Vidal Sassoon, her heart is with hairdressers all over the world, but the beauty and wellness entrepreneur was also inspired by her father’s philanthropic work to found Beauty Gives Back. The nonprofit raises awareness of the global water crisis and specifically assists Thirst Project’s efforts to build clean water wells in Swaziland. Eden is also a salon owner, entrepreneur and television personality.
  • Jenny Strebe: The social media guru gained a huge following when she began offering product reviews, hair tutorials and education on her blog, Confessions of a Hairstylist. Today she’s a brand that people know and respect. (Sessions attendees can also watch an updo demo with Jenny during lunch!)
  • Tracey Hughes: The beauty industry icon began her career in the UK in 1986, migrated to Australia and established the prestigious Mieka Hairdressing brand. Her striking photographic images have been published worldwide, and she’s headlined major events from Sweden to South Africa.
  • Sonya Dove: The Wella Professionals Global Brand Ambassador, member of Wella/ULTA Pro Team and Hairdreams Ambassador is known for her onstage charisma and signature color combinations. The “first lady of color” travels extensively teaching yet still loves working behind the chair.
  • Nahah Aziz: With just a dream and a single assistant, the entrepreneur opened Like the River Salon in Atlanta in 2008. Her hard work and commitment to her clients paid off. A year later Atlanta Tribune: The Magazine named it Best Hair Salon in Atlanta.

The Sola community–comprised of more than 10,000 independent salon owners–is 90 perfect female, making the Sola Sessions event in Chicago an ideal platform for the Leading Ladies to share success stories, challenges and lessons learned as powerful women in the industry.

Less than 50 tickets remain for this event, which also features business, marketing and artistic education throughout the day.  For more information please visit: https://www.solasalonstudios.com/sessions/chicago
