Schwarzkopf Professional’s latest release taps into nostalgia, giving credence to the adage, ‘What’s old is new again.’

A talented team of artists from Schwarzkopf Professional looked to the past and Hollywood’s heyday to create fashionable styles for the company’s autumn/winter 2014/15 Essential Looks Collection—seen exclusively on these pages. “The idea was to spotlight that bygone era but make the story relevant for today’s clients by focusing on modern glamour,” says Schwarzkopf Professional Creative Director for North America Damien Carney, who worked with Schwarzkopf Professional Men’s Specialist Matty Conrad and Schwarzkopf Professional Brand Ambassador Amber Dawn on the shoot. To that end, the team zoomed in on three distinct trends that embody the concept: Undone Glamour, featuring sun-kissed blondes with texture and contrasting lengths; Metal Chic, which encompasses soft metallic tones that juxtapose high-shine fringe; and Boho Curl, a fusion of dappled colors that offset rounded and graduated shapes. “They’re the perfect choice to make a style statement,” Carney says.
