Ruth Roche demonstrates the diverse personalities of redheads with Pureology’s new Reviving Red color-care system.
From high-powered executives to artsy musicians, redheads have a tendency to make an impact wherever they go, which provided Pureology Colour Ambassador Ruth Roche with the perfect inspiration for this exclusive shoot showcasing Pureology’s new Reviving Red oil-delivery color-care system. The five-product range, launching in February, is formulated to revitalize the vibrancy of red and copper color-treated hair. “Redheads come in all levels and flavors, from sassy to classy,” Roche says. “We used the idea of women who play more than one role in their lives to focus on the unique qualities of the Reviving Red system, in that it’s not only for redheads, but can also be used to add subtle temporary tones to all colors.” Beautifully demonstrating this concept, Roche created these easy-to-achieve hairstyles that look good on everyday women leading a variety of lifestyles. Ruth Roche emphasized the model’s natural texture by curling random sections of hair with a ¾-inch iron from the mid-shaft through the ends, then spraying the style with Pureology Colour Stylist Strengthening Control hairspray and roughing it up a bit. To achieve this casual, pretty updo, Roche prepped damp hair with Colour Stylist Illuminating Curl and Lustrous Volumizer and diffuser-dried it. She then created a French braid from the top of the head to the nape, folded it upward and tucked the ends in, pulling out random strands around the face and hairline before applying Strengthening Control hairspray. Techie genius Roche created this casual everyday work look by applying Colour Stylist Root Lift and Nourishing Nectar to damp hair, blow-drying it and flat-ironing it from the mid-shaft to the ends, creating a little bend at the ends.
