Long before social media influencers took center stage, Bobbi Brown was a guiding light for makeup lovers everywhere. Now, nearly 30 years after the launch of her eponymous makeup line, and four years after departing the brand, the makeup artist and entrepreneur is embarking on a new venture: Jones Road.
“I never thought I’d come back to the cosmetics industry, but I’ve realized how much I love being a makeup artist—that’s what I studied in college. More than anything, I love doing makeup,” Brown said in an interview with WWD.
Brown created Jones Road, a collection of clean products that enable the no-makeup makeup look, based on the notion that makeup should enhance natural features rather than covering them up. Jones Road will debut with six products at launch, including a versatile balm, mascara, eyeshadow and gloss that works on lips and cheeks.
