Dyson's New Straightener: Everything You Need to Know

Dyson just launched the Corrale, a state-of-the-art flat-iron that aims to check all the boxes anyone would want in a straightener: minimal damage, results and easy to travel with (it's cordless!) Here's everything that sets it apart from the rest:

Minimal Damage: Battery-power and heat control tech protect hair from damage. “Flat hair irons apply tension and heat only on the thickest part of the hair tress, the strands at the edges are not clamped, leaving them slack, unheated and leaving flyaways," says James Dyson, founder and chief engineer. “We discovered that if the plates could conform to the precise profile of the tress, then with each pass we could apply the correct tension to all the hair strands,” he explained, emphasizing that more surface area = an enhanced style – excessive heat damage.

Even Heat and Zero Tension: The flexing plates are made of magnesium copper, which adapt to each tress, aka even heat application and perfect tension so the hair isn't singed or ripped out.

Heat Settings: The three heat settings that range from 330°F, 365°F or up to 410°F. Temperature is measured 100 times per second via a platinum sensor.

Cordless: Not only is cordless a dream for usability, but traveling is easier. A full recharge lasts 30 minutes and takes 70 minutes of charging time.
