Singer/ actress Dove Cameron is the newest global brand ambassador for Schwarzkopf Professional, joining Sofia Vergara and Chris Appleton as A-list names behind the international hair-care brand.
The announcement came in a video posted this week on social media. “Dove is back in her blonde era and we’re loving this new energy!” Schwartzkopf said in the caption, with the hashtag #EverybodysGoingBlonde.
The former Disney teen star and Descendants actress, who released her debut album Alchemical: Volume 1 in December, has taken her hair through the spectrum over the years from its natural blonde to shades of brunette, red, and fashion colors.
Celebrity colorist Jacob Rozenberg recently created a lived-in blonde for Cameron in time for the 2024 Met Gala.
“I am so excited to be Schwarzkopf’s new Brand Ambassador,” Cameron said. “My hair journey started when I was only 8 years old when I became obsessed with the power of dyeing my hair and experimenting with identity and character. …
“I had a very specific hair color during a very formative time in my life when I started in film and television that became the color that I was known for.
“My identity has changed a lot as I’ve gotten older and found myself, and hair color has been a big part of being able to claim my identity over and over … Changing my hair color makes me feel renewed, reset, and fresh.”
She joins Schwartzkopf's ongoing "What Story Will You Tell?" campaign, which encourages consumers to "show up as their true selves."
