Some big names in beauty are about to get frank, candid, and real for the good of the industry.
Legendary stylist/ educator Sam Villa is hosting "Industry Icons Unscripted," a live-stream event May 11 to benefit Beauty Changes Lives. The unfiltered conversation will feature stories, personal challenges, defining moments, and tales of experiences that shaped careers.
The discussion will feature industry luminaries Tabatha Coffey, Elizabeth Faye, Larisa Love, John Mosley, and Presley Poe sharing authenticity, insight, inspiration, and vulnerability.
“It’s vital to the future of the salon industry that we all take responsibility for empowering the next generation of beauty professionals," Villa says. "This is a night of authentic storytelling; you’ll see a side of us that you’ve never seen before!”
Beauty Changes Lives is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering and equipping the next generation of beauty and wellness professionals through scholarships, mentorship, and career resources.
"Industry Icons Unscripted" is the pre-party for the Beauty Changes Lives Annual Gala 2026 taking place May 30 at Premiere Orlando. “This year’s Gala will be bigger and more elevated than ever. The goal is to raise $1 million through sponsorships and the paddle raise,” says Beth Carson, co-founder of the Sam Villa Company.
“Participating in the 'Industry Icons Unscripted' event will help us reach that goal.”
Villa will also be honored with a Legacy Award at the Gala, an honor which he calls "not only a reflection of my career, but a recognition from an organization I deeply respect that continues to shape the future of our industry," he says. "I am honored, grateful and humbled by this award."
