Pro Kits Available in L.A. for Fire-Impacted Beauty Community

Beauty Relief Kits containing shears, clippers, combs and brushes, hot tools, nail supplies, and other essential salon and barbershop items are available in L.A. to help licensed beauty and grooming professionals rebuild their livelihoods following the recent wildfires.

Organized by the Professional Beauty Association, the kits can be picked up starting Monday, Feb. 3 at SOS Beauty in Beverly Hills. Salon and barbershop professionals wanting to reserve a kit and schedule a pickup should click here.

“These kits are just one part of our ongoing efforts to support those in need during this challenging time,” says Leslie Perry, PBA’s Executive Director.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support of our members, partners, and sponsors, whose generosity has made this initiative possible. The beauty industry’s strength lies in our ability to come together during times of crisis.”

Supplies were donated by PBA partners and members including Amika, Fromm, Wahl, Oligo, JPMS, Helen of Troy, Hattori Hanzo, Framar, Robanda, Salon Service Group, Alter Ego Italy, GHD, and Sam Villa.


In addition, the PBA’s Disaster Relief Fund has raised more than $150K to assist wildfire-impacted beauty and grooming professionals. To apply for aid, click here.

The wildfires in L.A. that started on Jan. 7 devastated entire communities and killed at least 29 people. the city's metro area is home to thousands of beauty and grooming professionals and businesses fueled by L.A.'s world-famous film, TV, fashion, and media industries.
