Nails at The Blonds’ recent NYFW SS18 show transported the audience from New York City’s concrete jungle into a dazzling paradise. Thanks to CND, nails showcased longer lengths with shimmering snakeskin, holographic gems and animal prints. Details like sparkling scorpion tails, birds of paradise, jeweled leopard spots, hibiscus flowers and elements encased in glass were at each models fingertips. Even lace received a tropical makeover, with hand-molded florals and pearl and gem accents blooming in 3-D from the nails.
Nighttime oasis elements were also added, including glow-in-the-dark accents, nails that bubbled like broken glow sticks, and ripped denim dusted in glitter. “Like the Blonds, CND has a passion for creating looks that transcend style to tell a story,” says Jan Arnold, Co-Founder and Creative Director of CND, who created the shows seductive nail styles alongside creative lead Shelena Robinson and the CND Design Lab team. “The Blonds always inspire us to set a new standard of uninhibited glamour,” says Robinson. “This season took us to a jewel-drenched jungle bursting with bold color, and with styles showcasing exotic animal prints and opulent, oversized gemstones, the nails were every bit as fabulous as they were fierce.”
