How-To: Athletic Beauty

This season, Redken Global Creative Director Guido capitalized on sleek, sophisticated hair at Hugo Boss’s SS 2017 Show.

“The hair at Hugo Boss is pulled back into a careful, sleek ponytail. We’ve amped the ponytail up and perfected it to sophisticate the look in a minimal way. With only three products, we’ve achieved a simple, yet elevated style, which makes the look a bit more special. You can also pull a few little pieces out to keep it a bit more natural.”  – Guido

GET THE LOOK: ATHLETIC BEAUTY

  1. Prep damp hair with Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Treatment Primer Cream and Satinwear 02 from root to tip for heat protection and added shine.
  2.  Blow dry hair back and away from the face to smooth the crown and bring the facial features to the forefront, giving a minimalistic look.
  3.  Pull hair into a very low ponytail at the nape of the neck, smoothing hair back to enhance natural silhouette.
  4. Add a bit of Wind Blown 05 to the ponytail’s length for added texture and finish.
  5.  Fluff wisps of hair around the front hairline with fingertips to keep the look natural and less severe.
