How-To: Messy Finger Waves

Opening Ceremony Fall/Winter 2016 hair by Bb.Editorial Stylist Jimmy Paul

HAIR DIRECTION/INSPIRATION: Fast movement with a nod to Blade Runner. Messy finger waves with natural texture in the back.

“The idea is fast motion,” said Bb.Editorial Stylist Jimmy Paul. “It’s very DIY. I like to work from the idea that not everything has to be technically great – that makes it modern. If it’s imperfect, it looks unique. “

STYLING METHODS: Dampen hair with Prep and create a deep side part. Using a comb and Bb.Gel (Lots. Don’t be shy), make a messy finger wave over one eye from the part to the ear and slick behind the ear with more Bb.Gel.  Comb hair down at back with a mix of Prep and Thickening Hairspray for hold and air dry.

KEY PRODUCTS: Prep, Bb.Gel, Thickening Hairspray
