MIZANI Global Artistic Director Cesar Ramirez styled Golden Globe Award Winner Taraji P. Henson, and TV Host Jacque Reid for The Golden Globes. Please see below tips from Cesar on how to get the looks using MIZANI products.
"Taraji P. Henson's dress was very simple and elegant – a classic old Hollywood silhouette. I thought about pairing the look with a retro hairdo or playing off the Grecian style, but instead I thought something playful, sexy and modern. - Cesar started by cleansing Taraji’s hair with MIZANI True Textures Moisture Replenish Shampoo and MIZANI True Textures Moisture Replenish Conditioner. They’re perfect for blow drying curly hair straight or leaving curly hair natural.
- On damp hair, MIZANI Thermastrength Heat Styling Serum was applied for anti-breakage and heat protection. Once blown straight and dry, Cesar created a deep side part.
- Next, Cesar used MIZANI DEFYNE WAX to add a semi-wet texture with separation and movement, finished with MIZANI HRM Humidity Resistant Mist for hold and shine.

“I was really inspired by the construction of Jacque's dress. The color was so beautiful on her skin tone. The dress fit her beautifully, so I wanted a style that also had intricate texture with volume since I know volume always works best on her,” said MIZANI Global Artistic Director Cesar Ramirez.
- Cesar started by shaping the cut by taking it short and tight on the sides with a disconnected long length on top, while leaving the edge's a bit longer.
- Once cut, he washed Jacque’s hair with MIZANI Thermasmooth Shampoo and MIZANI Thermasmooth Conditioner.
- Cesar then prepped her with a combination of MIZANI Thermastrength Heat Styling Serum and MIZANI Thermasmooth Smooth Guard Serum for heat protection, frizz control and shine.
- Next, Cesar dried her hair in all directions using a comb and small round brush for a smooth, soft, movable finish.
- Once dried, starting on the back of the top crown section, he flat ironed small sections while spraying MIZANI Thermasmooth Shine Extend Anti-Humidity Spritz for frizz control.
- Cesar ironed each section going back, then spread a bit of MIZANI DEFYNE WAX on both hands to create his shape, making sure it was piecey and playful. The look was finished with MIZANI HRM Humidity Resistant Mist for long lasting soft hold.
