Artist Stories: Candy Shaw

Candy Shaw Codner is the head of the Atlanta-based Jamison Shaw Hairdressers and founder of Sunlights Balayage. A recognized celebrity stylist, educator and platform artistand the daughter of Jamison Shaw, the iconic salon owner and world champion competitorShaw literally grew up in the industry, from an early age surrounded by some of the most important names in beauty. 

Nicknamed “The Balay Lama,” Shaw works behind the chair full-time, and with the aid of up to six assistants sees up to 35 clients per day.  In 1996, she founded Jamison Shaw Advanced Hairdressing Systems,  an advanced training academy that teaches French cutting and Balayage highlighting technique.  In 2014, Shaw launched Sunlights Balayage, Inc.a new product line specifically formulated for the Balayage highlighting technique.
