CND + Beauty Changes Lives Work to Help Nail Pros During COVID-19

Creative Nail Design, better known as CND, has built their brand with the nail professional top of mind. Holding true to their values, the nail brand has partnered with Beauty Changes Lives, a non-profit organization, to distribute $100,000 in financial grants to nail professionals in the United States whose lives have been negatively impacted by COVID-19.

Created to offer support to those affected by the mandated closures in response to the pandemic, the CND + BCL Nail Professional Relief Grant was inspired by the passionate Nail Professionals that lead the community with talent and skill. With the goal of providing temporary financial relief to U.S. Nail Professionals who are now unemployed and unable to maintain their regular income during this time, CND is providing $1,000 grants to 100 applicants. To qualify for the grant, under the name of CND + BCL Nail Professional Relief Grant, each applicant must be a licensed nail professional and have been employed for 12 months on or before March 16, 2020. Additionally, the applicant must also live in a State or County that has mandated the closure of non-essential business. Over the course of May, June, and July of 2020, 33 grants will be distributed per month.

“From the moment my family and I created CND over 40 years ago, the heart of this brand has always been the nail professional,” says Jan Arnold, co-founder of CND. “My hope is that these grants can help express our gratitude as well as provide a bit of temporary relief to those who have supported our brand, so we may get through this time together.” Grants will be awarded to applicants that demonstrate financial hardship due to mandated closures in the United States during COVID-19 based on the date unemployment began, 2019 salary rate and their number of dependents.

To apply, Nail Professionals must meet the criteria detailed on the CND + BCL Nail Professional Relief Grant, available via the BeautyChangesLives.com webpage and submit a 200-word (or less) essay providing insight on how this grant will impact their lives. “It’s a crucial time for us to come together to support the nail community,” says Gillian Gorman Round, CND Global General Manager. “At CND, we stand firmly by the Nail Professionals whose dedication and creativity are the drivers of this industry, and hope this grant shows how important their work is for our brand and beyond.”
